One of the very best superminis currently available, the SEAT Ibiza is a good-looking, spacious and comfortable little car that offers plenty of practicality.
The Ibiza has a cheerful demeanour, with its sloping, snub-nose bonnet that helps provides good driver visibility, and large, high-beam headlamps that offer strong illumination. A five-door body makes it as simple for those in the rear compartment to get in and out as it is for the driver and co-passenger.
Open one of these wide-opening doors and you’ll discover that there’s room in the back row for two adults, or three smaller passengers, to travel in comfort. The Ibiza also features a 251-litre boot space, which extends to 959 litres with the rear seats folded.
A standard-issue 1.0-litre 75bhp petrol engine manages up to 4.3l/100km and produces CO2 emissions from 118g/km.
For even greater efficiency, choose a model that is installed with a 1.4-litre 75bhp diesel unit, which returns as much as 3.0l/100km and produces emissions as low as 93g/km.
This is a good option for cost-conscious families that do quite a bit of travelling, as well as business users.
Make each journey even more enjoyable with a standard-issue six-speaker sound system, which features a 6.5-inch touchscreen display. AUX and USB inputs are also included, as is Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to stream music and enjoy hands-free phone calls.
Euro NCAP has awarded the SEAT Ibiza a maximum five-star crash-test rating. The car comes with plenty of passive safety features, such as multiple airbags and ISOFIX child-seat fixtures.
A range of driver aids are included, too. For instance, Hill-hold Control prevents the car from rolling uncontrolled on a slope when the engine is started. LED daytime running lights also feature, making the car easily visible to other motorists.
