Spirit Motor Group - Senior Technician – Ref SMG-ST

About the role:

  • As a Senior Technician in Spirit you will report to the Workshop Controller
  • Servicing vehicles to the highest standards of the Spirit Motor Group as well as the manufacturers’ specifications and guidelines
  • You will work as a diagnostic technician.
  • In our state-of-the-art facilities, diagnosing, testing and repairing faults using the latest technologies.
  • Working with our brand range, including the latest release models including PHEV and EV
  • You will receive up to date training in relevant technologies as our brands evolve, upgrade and grow their ranges and models
  • You will be working with the team performing and reporting on vehicle health checks
  • Liaising with the service desk to communicate requirements, additional parts and repairs on customer vehicles.
  • Working as part of a team, supporting the training of apprentices, and helping colleagues

Skills and experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Qualified Technician
  • Ability to diagnose, test and repair faults using the latest technology.
  • Experienced diagnostic technician
  • Experience working with the Volvo brand.
  • Experience working with EV and PHEV vehicles is not essential but an advantage
  • Attention to detail when completing documentation and IT systems.
  • Be literate, numerate with fluent written & spoken English and good communication skills.
  • Full, valid, clean driving licence
  • Good knowledge and understanding of health and safety practices in the industry.
