Volvo Dún Laoghaire Regatta 2023

The Volvo Dún Laoghaire Regatta, Ireland’s biggest sailing regatta, made its triumphant return to the Dublin bay shores, once again bringing together sailors and spectators to experience one of the most exhilarating events on the international sailing calendar. Taking place from July 6th – 9th 2023, featuring upwards of 370 entrants ranging from Laser dinghy’s to ocean-going 50-footer’s competing across a number of classifications, the four-day event had a blustering start with rain and heavy winds but, as the weather picked up, so did the competition!

The Volvo Dún Laoghaire Regatta, along with the inaugural Coastival Festival, is a major international sporting event which is instrumental in showcasing the local community, inspiring collaboration, and pushing boundaries. It was also an opportunity for attendees to see our Volvo range up close and personal with Volvo C40, XC40, XC60 & XC90 which Spirit Volvo had on display, in conjunction with Volvo Ireland, on the East Pier throughout the four day event.

As we reflect on the accomplishments of the Volvo Dún Laoghaire Regatta, we are immensely proud to have played a role in facilitating an unforgettable experience for all participants and spectators.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers, event committee and volunteers, who made the event a resounding success. The dedication, enthusiasm, and passion displayed by everyone involved were truly remarkable.
